A Breakthrough from New Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept.

A sudden breakthrough showed by Andriyansyah Head of Jakarta Transportation Department after his inauguration by Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama on last Friday (7/3). One of them is by conducting illegal parking raid in Tanah Abang on last Saturday (7/4) until Sunday (7/5).

During the raid, around 300 motorcycles were netted from Tanah Abang and Thamrin City

“On last Saturday at 8 AM, I summoned my personnel of Jakarta Transportation Department in IRTI Monas Field to check on the troops. After ceremony was ended, we then held raid against illegal parking in Tanah Abang area by involving Central Jakarta Satpol PP,” he said, Monday (7/6).

Illegal Parking, 154 Vehicles Netted in Tanah Abang

During the raid, around 300 motorcycles were netted from Tanah Abang and Thamrin City. “We managed to secure 300 motorcycles,” he expressed.

Andriyansyah added that his department deployed 150-200 personnel per day to raid motorists who park illegally. “Our power is only 150-200 personnel, whereas illegal parking in capital is still rampant,” he disclosed.
